HONG KONG, July 7 (Bernama) — Hong Kong confirmed 41 new cases of influenza A/H1N1 on Tuesday, bringing the total to 1,014 in the city, China’s Xinhua news agency reported quoting local health authorities as saying.

2 more flu deaths in Thailand (Straits Times)

BANGKOK – THAILAND’S health authorities on Tuesday reported two more deaths from H1N1 flu, raising the country’s total to nine. An eight-year-old girl in Phetchaburi province and a 58-year-old man in Bangkok were the latest people confirmed as succumbing to the A(H1N1) virus, deputy public health minister Manit Nopamornbodi told AFP.

MALAYSIA RECORDED 33 NEW CASES OF H1N1 FLU; TOTAL STANDS AT 359

PUTRAJAYA 05/07/2009: Health authorities have recorded 12 locally-transmitted Influenza A (H1N1) cases among 33 new cases within the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected people to 359 to date. Health director-general Ismail Merican said the number of locally-transmitted cases have so far reached 67 and so far no death was recorded. Arizona teenager dies of H1N1 flu

PHOENIX (Reuters) – An Arizona teenager who had health problems died from H1N1 flu, health authorities said on Wednesday. Several of his family members were also ill with the virus and most have recovered. One sibling remains hospitalized.
