2 more flu deaths in Thailand (Straits Times)

BANGKOK – THAILAND’S health authorities on Tuesday reported two more deaths from H1N1 flu, raising the country’s total to nine. An eight-year-old girl in Phetchaburi province and a 58-year-old man in Bangkok were the latest people confirmed as succumbing to the A(H1N1) virus, deputy public health minister Manit Nopamornbodi told AFP.

At least one baby in the neonatal intensive care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital has contracted the H1N1 flu. A source close to the incident told CBS4 Reporter Natalia Zea that the baby is an 11-month-old girl, who has spent her entire life inside Jackson Memorial.
